Beijing Brings New Convenience to Foreigners

Foreigners working in Beijing will have access to more convenient services as the Beijing Overseas Talents Center and the Exit and Entry Administration of the municipal Public Security Bureau undergo further upgrades.
The programme for simultaneously processing foreign workers’ applications for work and residence permits was expanded to practically all foreigners working in Beijing on Wednesday. There will be a reduction in processing time to five to seven working days.
At five service centres, the government has already piloted changes. Foreign employees and their employers appreciated and commended the effort.
The service will be offered simultaneously at 13 service windows in Beijing based on the trial.
In October 2020, the city started testing new reforms. It intends to aid Beijing’s initiatives to create the so-called Two Zones and a global hub for technological innovation.
